Welcome to Damnselfish: Exploring song ideas

Damnselfish is my project (Ian Argis), a space for songs in progress where I explore various ideas, and innovative sounds, sometimes in partnership with other artists.

Moving across styles and eras, the project favors slow unfolding, sudden shifts, and musical storytelling over polish or trends.

The tracks here are demo and reference versions - AI-assisted reinterpretations and working recordings of original music and lyrics by Ian Argis, edited and assembled by hand.

Collaboration with musicians is preferred when possible, but the songs are shared as they are, each one a complete moment.
